Our consultancy approach
At DEVS 'R' US, I co-founded a consultancy to help innovative companies bring ambitious Web3 products to life. Many clients came to us with strong ideas but lacked the technical depth to execute at scale. We partnered closely with their teams, bridging strategy and engineering, and delivered production-grade solutions across gaming, DeFi, and edge computing. Each engagement combined product thinking with deep technical execution to turn vision into reality.
Case Study 1: The Gate - Gaming Platform
A gaming studio wanted to launch a new platform alongside their upcoming Steam title. Their challenge: create an NFT marketplace and questing system that felt seamless to players unfamiliar with crypto. We designed the full-stack architecture, ensuring blockchain features supported — not disrupted — the player experience.
Web3 Authentication
We implemented Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE) for seamless wallet-based login. This gave players secure, decentralized authentication while preserving a familiar login experience. The result was a Web3 platform that felt as smooth as traditional gaming systems, lowering barriers to entry for new users.
Questing Economy
We built a secure questing platform where users complete challenges, earn rewards, and level up their skills. By designing API routes that validated progress and distributed token rewards fairly, we helped the client create a trusted in-game economy that kept players engaged.
Case Study 2: BTC/ETH Bridge - DeFi Protocol
A DeFi startup wanted to unlock native Bitcoin liquidity across multiple Ethereum-based chains. Their challenge was bridging Bitcoin and EVM ecosystems without compromising on security. We architected a cross-chain system that combined LayerZero messaging, staking, and lending features into a single protocol.
Omnichain Architecture
We built a cross-chain bridge using LayerZero, enabling omnichain liquidity flows. Dual authentication supported both Lightning Network IDs for Bitcoin users and SIWE for Ethereum users, ensuring seamless and secure onboarding. This architecture provided the foundation for a protocol capable of handling millions in cross-chain liquidity.
Lending Markets
To extend utility, we implemented a lending protocol inspired by Frax Finance, enabling trustless and non-custodial lending between ERC20 tokens. By allowing the DAO to whitelist markets, the system balanced flexibility with security, supporting sustainable yield opportunities for users.
Case Study 3: Lotus Network - Edge Computing Blockchain
An edge computing startup wanted to monetize data from physical devices like environmental sensors. Their challenge was bridging low-power IoT infrastructure with decentralized systems. We partnered with them to design a blockchain-powered data layer that made this possible.
LoRaNet-Powered Infrastructure
We integrated LoRaNet (long-range, low-power networking) to connect sensors like soil monitors and weather stations directly into the blockchain ecosystem. Devices could now transmit data across 15km ranges while maintaining years of battery life. This bridged IoT with decentralized infrastructure, unlocking new revenue streams for device owners while ensuring privacy and data integrity.
